Yeah, so glad to see you spinning again! Funny the lendrum was my first wheel and it was definitely not my wheel. I feel the same way about the Ladybug, but I love my Matchless, they are definitely nothing alike. When money is not so tight anymore, you might try a Hansen
E spinner, I love mine and can spin on it even when my knees are unhappy! ;-) ;-)

Push ups have always been my least favorite thing ever, and this is just more proof that they're made of evil. I remember when you started having the wrist pain, and I'm so glad to hear that it's cleared up and you're able to knit and spin again.

I am taking both machine quilting courses through craftsy and the teachers are total opposites in methods, one pins and the other only spray bastes. I have done both, but usually pin baste. But the quilt i am doing now I pin basted ,is all triangles, and is not laying flat with the pins. I am quilting a curve on each side of the triangle, and now I wish I had spray basted. Try taking the top and backing outside for spray basting, that is what the teacher recommended. It really works well, minimizes the mess and cuts way down on the smell.

So excited to see the Bernina on your web.I demonstrated this machine way back in the late 70s!Mainly in schools and colleges as they were supplied to schools then.I still have mine after all these years and wouldnt part with it.So sad that sewing isnt taught in school these days ,it gave me so much pleasure!

I pinned this quilt. I tried spray basting last year and even though I had all the windows open and I was only spray basting a tiny space, it still gave me a headache pretty quickly. I don't mind the pins.

Your tinder cardi is going to be beautiful!

I just finished a cowl in the TFA green line yarn and I was pleasantly surprised by it, it's nice and bouncy and knit up nicely. I hope you enjoy the effortless cardigan.

Hi Leslie,

It sounds like the timing is off on your machine. Should be a fairly minor adjustment as long as it's not off because something is broken. Adjusting timing yourself can be pretty time consuming and frustrating, so if it was me, I'd take it in for a tune up (it should be included in your sewing machine servicing). I would definitely not take it to the store that quoted you several hundred dollars. I don't think it should be more than $100 including being fully adjusted and oiled.

Good luck!

Chrissy
